Rosebank Village residents answered The Salvation Army’s call for winter blankets by using their creative skills for the great cause. Around a dozen residents read about the need for blankets this winter and got their needles clicking, sewing mountains of peggy squares, which they sewed and crocheted together. They did a mix of back stitch, running stitch and a variation of a feather stitch. Two large single bed wool blankets and a bassinet blanket were handed over to Salvation Army community ministries co-ordinator Judith Lilley last week by residents Joan Dutton and Paddy Anderson.
