Rakaia school pupils took part in a Colour Run on last week and raised nearly $8000 for the school.

The pupils wore white and ran a course around the playground on Friday where parents and teachers sprayed them with paint as they ran past.

There was plenty of laughter and smiles after the run with the children being rewarded with an ice block before rolling around on the grass to help remove the paint.
