It’s been a dry season for the spuds growers at the Plains Museum at Tinwald, but when they began digging their Agrias for sale, they were pleasantly surprised.
They had a good crop – and they have been taste-tested.
They got the tick there, too.
Volunteers Darryl Nelson, John French, Murray Oakley, Ian Smith and Bruce Dellow were on hand to gather the spuds after a vintage spud lifter did its work.
The potatoes, just in time for Christmas, will be available from the two Z stations in Ashburton, and from the platform at the plains from 8am to 5pm.
The crop raises between $12,000 and $15,000 for the running of the museum.Best Authentic SneakersThe world is yours – Neue Sneaker, Apparel und mehr für Kids
