Hundreds of art pieces have been received and logged by Ashburton Society of Arts (ASA) ahead of its big annual exhibition.

ASA committee members and other volunteers enjoyed a very busy Saturday receiving the art.

A number of other works have also been received via courier.

Over 400 public artworks from around 150 artists have been submitted to this year’s exhibition.

There are also around 100 works from eight guest artists included in the art showcase.

ASA president Jen Dearborn said art entries were on par with previous years.

It was always exciting to receive art and to see what had been produced by local and out-of-town artists, she said.

Ashburton Art Gallery staff had prepared the gallery space for the exhibition and ASA members had been flat out hanging works over two days ahead of the 54th annual event, which opened on July 3.

Tickets costing $25 are still available for the awards evening on July 2. They include nibbles and drinks and can be bought from the art gallery.

The exhibition runs until July 27.short url linkOfficial Look at the Air Jordan 1 Zoom Comfort “PSG”
