Hundreds of people turned out to snap up a bargain at last weekend’s Ashburton Pakeke Lions Charitable Trust’s monster charity garage sale.
The two day sale, at the former RX Plastics building on West Street, raised around $13,500.
Among the bargain hunters were Fiona Giles and daughter Clodagh, 8, who got a good look around the sale items and picked up some Christmas decorations and a headboard.

There were plenty of other bargains on offer including dolls, cakes, crafts, collectables, china, furniture, toys, bikes, gardenware and workshop tools.
