Around 180 Mid Canterbury children involved with Birthright Canterbury Trust will benefit from wrapped presents left around the Christmas tree at the Heartland Bank, in downtown Ashburton.
The generous nature of Mid Canterbury people, and businesses, with their gifts has seen a bit of Christmas cheer given to children of single parent families for more than 30 years.
Ashburton field worker Christine Muff said the trust recently merged with Christchurch, but any donated gifts left at the bank would stay in the district and distributed by Birthright.
Around 85 families were with the trust this year, she said.
Any gifts suitable for children aged from infant up to the age of 17 can be placed under the tree at Heartland Bank, on East Street, up until 4pm on Friday, December 21.
They should be labelled with the gender and the age for which the gift is suitable.Best Authentic SneakersHow to Run Faster , Increase Your Running Speed and Endurance
