Rapid Antigen Test collections

RAT collection hours from the community testing centre have extended in Ashburton.

People seeking community Rapid Antigen Tests (RATs) in Ashburton can now pick them up daily from the community testing centre at 48 South Street.

However a Canterbury District Health Board spokesperson said it was important people who needed RATs remembered to place an order for them, before heading to a collection site, and to have the order number ready.

Orders can be made via the online system at requestrats.covid19.health.nz/ or by calling 0800 222 478.

RATs are free for people with Covid-19 symptoms, are a household contact or who been instructed to get tested, but results, either way, need to be recorded.

The centre will remain open from 9am to 3pm each day.

“RATs are free for people with Covid-19 symptoms or who are a household contact or who been instructed to get tested.

“It’s important that you report every RAT result negative and positive – on My Covid Record website at www.mycovidrecord.health.nz/ as this helps the Ministry of Health understand the size and trends of the outbreak.”

If you need a hand or would prefer to record your result over the phone, call 0800 222 478.
