Teeshirts for sale to support farmers following floods

Robbie ‘Gooserooter’ Shefford specially designed a teeshirt for sale to help support farmers in the Mid Canterbury district following flooding events last year.

Robbie ‘Gooserooter’ Shefford and the team at Sign Spot Graphics are helping to boost the coffers of Rural Support Trust Mid Canterbury by selling teeshirts to support farmers.

Sign Spot Graphics and Mr Shefford are both from Geraldine – although Mr Shefford is now based in Ashburton – and wanted to help farmers around the district who had been hit by recent flooding.

Mr Shefford said farmers have had a tough few weeks with heavy rainfall and flooding and it was time for people to rally behind them.

The teeshirt design, in either white, navy or black, have been specially created as part of the fundraiser to reflect the 1-in-a-100 year flood in Canterbury, with all proceeds going to Rural Support Trust for distribution. They range from childrens sizes through to 5XL.

Each teeshirt costs $50, with $30 from each product going into the trust coffers.

Hoodies are also available up to 5XL and cost $74.30.

‘‘If it wasn’t for farmers you would be hungry, naked and sober,’’ he said; a saying which has been made into its own teeshirt design and is also available for purchase.

The money will help with fencing, stockfeed, welfare or family support – wherever it is needed, Mr Shefford said.
