On 1st May 2026, aged 72 years. Passed away peacefully at Tuarangi Home, Ashburton. Dearly loved husband of Wendy and loved father and father-in-law of Tracy and Scott Ritchie, Mike and Melissa Farnell, Colin and Diane Farnell, Steven Farnell and step-father of Paul Cross and beloved Poppa of all his beloved grand-children. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. May he rest in peace. A huge thank you to the staff at Tuarangi Home for their care and dedication while caring for John. We will be forever grateful. In lieu of flowers, donations to Tuarangi Home would be much appreciated and may be left at the service. A Memorial Service for John will be held in our chapel, corner East and Cox Streets, Ashburton, on Saturday May 16 at 1:30pm.
