It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Adele (Mama) on 6 August 2025 peacefully surrounded by family at Timaru Hospice, aged 68 years, due to a short illness. Much loved daughter to Robyn Wood and late the Des Wood.
Cherished sister to Gaye and Chris Nankervis, Charee and Andy Pryor, Alan Wood, Susan Wood and all the nieces and nephews. Wholesome mother to Jarrod and Fiona, Kyle and Jenna and Nichola and Jonathan. Respected Mama to Paige and Joshua, Phoebe and Toby, Seth and Chloe, Rhea, Jake, Jordan, Andre, Liam and Cody. Devoted great-grandmother to Jethro and Delilah.
Adele and family would like to thank the Timaru Hospice, the Tarahoa Health Care doctors and all the district nurses for providing the best care possible for Adele. A huge thank you to Catie Rowe Podiatry, Tess, Amelia, Deb, Pip and Cath. Adele would also like to thank all her clients that have supported her over the last 15 years, she will deeply miss you all. On behalf of your grandchildren, “Mama, you are the definition of our childhood, our rock, our biggest inspiration. We are proud to call you our Mama/Mum. Your infectious laugh and personality will be deeply missed. Your memories will live on for a lifetime to come”. A private cremation has been held.
