Weeks of dedication and commitment came to fruition at the recent Hakatere Cultural Festival as preschoolers, primary and secondary-aged students from Ashburton took to the stage at the Ashburton Event Centre.
Taking part were Baptist Preschool, Phoenix Preschool, AshColl Pasifika, Hampstead Kapa Haka, Hato Hohepa (St Joseph’s) Kapa Haka, Nga Mokopuna o Nga Awa e Wha, Ashburton Netherby School – Pasifika Pride, Rising Stars – Te Ruma Preschool, Ashburton Borough Kapa Haka, Allenton School Kapa Haka, Allenton School Multicultural Group, Ashburton Christian School, Ashburton Intermediate Pasifika, and Te Whanau o Hakatere Kapa Haka.
