Thousands have played on Ashburton’s new $500,000 mini-golf course since it opened late last year.
Mini Mid Canterbury saw 4350 people book online as of Monday this week.
District council group manager people and facilities Sarah Mosley said the actual number would be higher as others are likely to have played without booking.
She and fellow staff were ‘‘absolutely thrilled’’ it had been so popular since opening on November 22.
‘‘It has added another reason for families to come down and enjoy the activities EA Networks Centre offers, inside and out,’’ Mosley said.
Some minor damage, mostly believed to be accidental, to themed items had been repaired within the contractor’s warranty.
