Ashburton Aviation Museum has received a $1000 injection from staff at SealesWinslow.
SealesWinslow operations manager Steve Carr said the funds were from successful health and safety key performance indicators at the Ashburton site over two quarters – each worth $500.
He said the company supported community groups and projects such as the aviation museum. In the past it had donated to Hato Hone St John and the Hinds fire brigade.
Carr and a few employees were at the museum recently to hand over the money.
Aviation museum building committee chairman Owen Moore then took them on a tour of the popular facility and its exhibits, explaining progress of a building project under way.
‘‘The donation will be added to funds, which get to go a bit further,’’ he said.

More than $300k was still needed for the $2.5m building project, which will connect two existing display hangars at the Ashburton airfield.
It would include a community function room, kitchen and toilet facilities, and be available for hire for meetings and large functions. Large 10m roller doors would also allow additional space to be opened up, if needed.
There would also be a mezzanine floor for members only to house their offices, archives and aviation library.
It was an exciting time for members who were still fundraising for the project.
Moore said prior to Easter, the foundation concrete had been poured. He estimated steelwork framing was days away from being installed.
‘‘Once they stand it up, the build will go pretty quick,’’ he said.
