Ashburton Cadet Unit have done it again, coming away with placings at the Southern Area Skills competition at Burnham Military Camp.
The unit bought home the Espirit De Corps trophy for the team which best displays the corps values of comradeship, commitment, courage and integrity.
Cadet unit commander Major Cezarne Rodgers said this was ‘‘a great win’’ as it was voted by teams themselves and staff at the activity.
‘‘The unit won the drill trophy as well as shooting and navigation practical with some very close seconds,’’ Rodgers said.
‘‘The continued success is totally due to the team. Since the first ever win in 2016 the team has continued the drive to win. The team put in the hard work and the extra training required as they are the ones with the drive to win.’’
‘‘The unit have worked hard all term, and their placings are well deserved,’’ Rodgers said.
