Engineer, engine enthusiast and kite-maker. Died in Ashburton on Saturday, 11 April 2026 at the age of 79 after a dogged battle with cancer. Married to the late Elwyn Frances Lynn (nee Brown) for 56 years. Father and father-in-law of Kirri, Robert, Pete and Katherine, Sarah and Richard, and Katrina and David, and grandfather of Felix, Rafe, and Cami; Rona and Hume; and Amos, Clara, and Frances.
