Passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday 13th May 2026, age 81 years. Much loved husband of Janice (dec), dear friend of Dianne Reid (dec). Much loved and respected father and father-in-law of Robyn and Colin Cain, Dale Hansen, Catherine and Grant Wilson, Joanne Hansen. Cherished Berns of Matt, Nick and Evan Cain, Kara and Dan Cunningham and Georgia Ghorah. A valued volunteer in the community. A great friend to many, who enjoyed a good laugh. Bernie will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A celebration of Bernie’s life will be held at the Orari Hall, 8 MacDonald Street, Orari at 10.30am on Saturday 23rd May, followed by tea and coffee.
