Passed away peacefully on May 30, 2026, aged 95 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Paddy. Much loved father and father-in-law of David and Wendy, Philip and Clare, Stephen and Susie, and Megan. Cherished grandfather of Claire, Rachel, Ruby, Eddie, Guy, Johnny, Joe, and Frankie. Great-grandfather of River, Linnèa, Jack, and Finn. The last surviving sibling of the late Ted, Bernie, Leslie (Plug), and Ida (Sally). A devoted Christian, family man, and valued member of his community. A life well lived and a family deeply loved. A memorial service to celebrate John’s life will be held at the Ashburton Baptist Church on Friday, June 12, 2026, at 2.00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to St John ambulance would be appreciated.
