Mt Somers Rugby Club will hold a fundraising karaoke evening at its club rooms tomorrow, from 6.30pm. Entry is free, and all are welcome to come along and enjoy a fun-filled evening with a Hawaiian theme. A free supper is provided as the club encourages the whole community to help raise funds through drink sales at the bar. The club is in need of an upgrade to floodlights for the entire pitch, with an overall target of $100,000. The new match-standard lights will improve visibility for training and matches at night ‘‘which will be of huge benefit in the club’s progression”, Brown said. Methven karaoke operators Glenn and Linda Young will be running the karaoke.The club is located on Buccleugh St. The event will run to 11.30pm. No prior booking is required.
